1. Syllabus & Exam Structure
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has uploaded the new syllabus for MDCAT 2025 to its official website. The exam will comprise 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 3 hours, with no negative marking. Questions are distributed by difficulty: 15% easy, 70% moderate, and 15% difficult.
- Subjects included: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning DawnThe Express Tribune.
- Passing criteria: Minimum 55% for medical colleges (MBBS) and 50% for dental colleges (BDS) DawnThe Express Tribune.
2. Eligibility & Domicile-Based Testing
PMDC has raised the minimum academic requirement to 65% in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent. Additionally, candidates must take the MDCAT in their province or region of domicile to promote fairness and logistical efficiency. For overseas Pakistanis, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is the designated international testing center Dental Tribune Pakistan.

The official exam date is set for Sunday, October 5, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM Daily PakistanThe Express Tribune.
