Detailed Job Description: A Role of Leadership and Love

The Village Director is the heart of the residential center, responsible for creating a nurturing and structured environment that serves as a home for 100-150 children and young adults.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Holistic Management & Supervision: Oversee the entire residential facility, ensuring it operates as a safe, secure, and loving home.
  • Mentorship & Discipline: Build strong, respectful relationships with children of various ages. Guide them with a balance of warmth and necessary discipline, acting as a parental figure.
  • Fostering Independence: Actively help youth develop essential life skills, preparing them for a successful and independent life after they leave the Village’s care.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work seamlessly with a dedicated staff and a volunteer-based Members Committee to achieve the Village’s mission.
  • Reporting & Development: Report to the Regional Office while championing the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of every resident.

Who Are We Looking For? Essential Requirements

This leadership role requires a unique blend of professional qualifications and personal character.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Languages: Must be fluent in English, Urdu, and Sindhi to communicate effectively with children, staff, and the local community.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literacy is essential for administration and reporting.
  • Experience: Prior experience in child care and development is a significant advantage and will be preferred.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Proven leadership qualities with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
    • A stable, positive, and outgoing personality.
    • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
